Some views of the 50th Anniversary Season in 2001

The Surrey Hogs brought their Harleys when they attended the Sounds of the 70's Concert on Friday 15th June.

The opening concert was introduced by David Hamilton and featured the Rubettes and Showadywaddy.

The audience danced in the aisles, the seated areas, the stands and the grass areas, as everyone recaptured their 70's memories.

Jazz on a Summer's Night was presented in association with Jazz FM.

Young musicians joined the orchestra as soloists.

Elaine Delmar was the guest soloist with the Echoes of Ellington Big Band.

The audience enjoyed a beautiful evening listening to arrangements from Duke Ellington.

Peter Hahlos's production of The Taming of the Shrew provided excellent entertainment, when it was set in the suffragette era.

The audience enjoyed a mixture of modern and classical music.

This was a glittering celebration of Polesden Lacey Open Air Theatre's first fifty years.

Guest singer Yvonne Patrick sang items from "Merrie England", and "The King and I" with James Edwards.

As the evening darkened the stage lights showed the orchestra quite clearly.
