A look at the 1998 entertainment

A Mardi Gras evening started with a marching band as our opening event.

The Family Concert was entitled "Tubby and Friends" and included Bill Oddie telling the story of Tubby the Tuba. The orchestra was conducted by Jonathan Butcher.

The Polesden Prom started with two trumpeters from the Lifeguards.

Peter Hahlo directed Shakespeare's "King Lear" with Geoff Cheshire in the title role.

The Opera Club of Redhill and Reigate gave their production of "The Merry Widow". Depicted here is the Can-Can scene.
Some of the characters in costume can be seen on the south terrace on the afternoon of the Polesden Fair.
The final concert featured The Pasadena Roof Orchestra.
