A Midsummer Nights Dream 1951 production

The first night was 30th July 1951

In the first production on the new open air theatre stage in the grounds of Polesden Lacey, the actors performed without scenery, and the orchestra without any weather protection. The first night of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" took place on the 30th July 1951. One of the performers in this production was Andrew Glass, who also performed in the 2001 production of Lionel Bart's "Oliver".
