Leatherhead Methodist Church

Walk of Reflection - Good Friday 19 April 2019

Members of all of the churches in Leatherhead came together to join in a walk of reflection. We started from Christ Church, in Epsom Road and after a short prayer, processed in silence, down to the High Street following the cross.

We made a diversion around the Swan Centre, where we stopped outside Costas for a reading and a prayer. Then we continued to the bottom of the High Street, where we stopped for another prayer.

Our journey continued along The Crescent, where we crossed over to Church Walk, and then to Church Road.

We finished our walk at the Methodist Church, where we had hot crossed buns with coffee or tea.

It was a moving experience as we followed the cross and reminded ourselves of the events at Calvary, so many years ago.
